£15m MoD Contract Award for Total Integrated Solutions Ltd (TIS)

Fire, Security and Communication specialists, Total Integrated Solutions Limited (TIS), based on Oakham Business Park has been awarded a 5 year In-Service Support contract valued at over £15m by the UK Ministry of Defence, Ships, Maritime Combat Systems (MCS) Team.

The contract, for the In-Service Support (ISS) of Primary Internal Communications and Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) equipment fitted to in-service Royal Navy Warships, and the Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) of the future Queen Elizabeth Aircraft Carriers (QEC), runs until 2022, and has an optional two year extension period. Chris Lewis, Managing Director Defence Division said: “The award of this important competitive contract is a testament to our Division Tender Compliance team, our excellent performance on previous support contracts, and in particular our flexible approach to deliver on time and to budget. The contract provides a long-term stable income for the Defence Division, underpinning its future performance.” TIS have in the past, held several short-term contracts covering some aspects of this requirement. The new award brings these services under one longer-term Contract, delivering improved efficiencies and highlighting smarter support strategies. The success of the negotiation process is a fantastic achievement for the Company who were competing against some of the biggest suppliers within the defence industry. The significant win underpins the local firms’ position with the Royal Navy as a principal contractor, offering support solutions and system integration to legacy platforms with minimal impact. Ends
