£30K INVESTMENT BRINGS TWO NEW ATTRACTIONS TO FLIP OUT SOUTHAMPTON
- Huge 23ft high vertical drop slide to join newly-installed Wipeout attraction Hampshire’s biggest trampoline and adventure park has announced the opening of two new attractions at the arena.
A thrilling 23ft (7m) high vertical drop slide is being unveiled at Flip Out Southampton and follows hot on the heels of the opening of a multi-player inflatable Wipeout challenge. The owners of the popular entertainment venue, which celebrated its first birthday in July, are investing over £30,000 in additions to the trampoline park in Chandlers Ford this autumn.
The forthcoming giant vertical drop slide is designed to prove a real test of nerve as daredevil customers hold on to a bar which is winched up the slide allowing them to choose their own individual drop height.
The other new installation is called Wipeout and allows 7 people to play at once, perching on pedestals and avoiding a rotating arm as it spins and attempts to knock over anyone in its way.
Ryan Wootton, manager at Flip Out Southampton, said: “Our two new attractions, offering customers a great blend of fun and nerve-jangling excitement, will be open in time for the busy Christmas period, making Flip Out Southampton a must-visit this December.
“In our first year we welcomed over 150,000 jumpers through our doors and we’re committed to continuing to improve and refresh the venue to keep people of all ages entertained.
“We will be setting them two challenges on our enormous 23ft high slide, namely, how high are you prepared to go up the slide and how long can you hold your nerve at the very top before letting go of the bar and making the drop.
“Meanwhile, the challenge of Wipeout is to be quick and nimble to avoid the rotating arms set at two levels, so you’ll have to be speedy and accurate to successfully jump the first arm and duck under the second.”
Along with the vertical slide and Wipeout challenge the main trampoline area has been refreshed with the addition of two-tier stunt boxes, joining other activities at the 23,000 sq ft trampoline park including climbing walls, free-running zone and around 100 linked trampolines.
