Flybe's 2017-2018 Winter Schedule Takes Off

Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, starts operating its 2017-18 winter schedule this weekend (Sunday 29th October 2017) with a total choice of up to 3,059 flights a week across 135 routes, as well it marking the start of Flybe and Eastern Airways’ new franchise partnership that further expands its comprehensive network with the addition of 17 routes.

Winter flights operate through to 24th March 2018 and one way fares from £24.99 including taxes and charges are available for booking at www.flybe.com

The winter schedule includes the addition of extra frequencies on a number of routes including those from Cardiff to Belfast; from Manchester to Southampton and weekend flights from Exeter to London City re-timed to make them more convenient for leisure travel. Full details of Flybe’s 2017-18 winter schedule are available at www.flybe.com.

From November 1st, the airline’s Café Flybe on-board menu will enjoy a refresh with brand new food and drink options available for passengers to purchase.

Keeping Scotland connected for the first time this winter are Flybe’s multi-frequency daily services from Aberdeen and Edinburgh to London Heathrow; and Flybe’s risk sharing flights operated by Eastern Airways which began in September from Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Manchester on lifeline routes to Orkney, Shetland and Stornoway; Flybe’s numerous codeshare agreements mean that customers can connect seamlessly to locations across the world from their local airport as part of the airline’s ‘One Stop to the World’ proposition with just one point of purchase and one check in. Onward connections are available to book direct with the relevant codeshare airline or with a local travel agent. Flybe franchise partners, Blue Islands and Stobart Air, have also started operating their winter schedules with a wide choice of routes to and from the Channel Islands and Southend Airport respectively.

Ronnie Matheson, Flybe’s Interim Chief Commercial Officer, says: “Our 2017/18 Winter schedule has been planned to provide reliable and affordable business travel as well as great options for leisure travellers looking to take advantage of convenient flights for a winter break.

“Our flights between Heathrow and Scotland, and the routes offered through our new agreement with Eastern Airways, are all operating for the first time this winter. In addition, our franchise partner Stobart Air is introducing new routes from Southend. This new schedule highlights Flybe’s ongoing commitment to connecting regional airports to destinations across the UK, Europe and beyond.”
