Fusion Supply Chain Solutions is Travelling in the Right Direction
Award winning family business The Wilkins Group is enjoying rapid growth with its logistics division - Fusion Supply Chain Solutions.
Based in Colwick, Nottinghamshire, Fusion was formed six years ago and now employs 30 people. The company, which provides 24/7 logistic and transportations support to The Wilkins Group - a global company that specialise in printed carton board packaging - has recently appointed two senior members of staff to add to its talented team of professionals.
The firm - which has four keys elements: general haulage, logistic consultancy, Palletways and warehousing, which boasts over 75,000 sq ft of storage - also has plans to quadruple the size of its pallet network.
Craig Cox, who has recently been taken on as FSCS’s logistics commercial and palletways manager, said: “We currently operate 16 vehicles and 15 trailers, predominantly delivering freight for The Wilkins Group all over the country, as far north as Scotland, and as far south as Cornwall. About two years ago we started working with Palletways, providing a pallet network solutions to companies in Coalville, Loughborough, Ashby De La Zouch and parts of Leicester.
“The Palletways network covers the whole of the UK and Europe. It also offers full pallet tracking along with a notification of delivery ETA via text or email, a first for a pallet network. Palletways moved over 5.4 million pallets within the last 12 months.”
Craig strives to make Fusion the largest supplier of logistic/transport solutions in Nottingham and further develop the Palletways operations. He has over 27 years logistics experience working with, and alongside, the likes of Dunlop Aircraft Tyres, Boeing Aerospace, Ministry Of Defence, Royal Air Force, DHL , DB Schenker, DSV and Euro SDB Limited of Tamworth.
He added: “The vision for Fusion is to continue to grow and build on our ever growing reputation of providing an excellent level of customer service, unmatched operational management and deliver service that goes beyond the expected industry standard.”
Fusion has also recently employed Anthony Wyatt as its sales executive. Anthony has a wealth of logistic and transport experience and is eager to help develop the key elements of Fusion.
