Young mum and entrepreneur to establish craft studio at Manchester’s Arndale Centre
The young mum and entrepreneur behind craft studio business Emily’s Paint A Pot has struck a new partnership with retail giant Next.
Emily Barratt’s tie-up with the high street brand will see her launch a new concept store at the Next based in the Manchester Arndale Centre.
Shoppers visiting Emily’s Paint A Pot at Next, which fully reopens in the New Year, will be able to put their own personal twist on pots selected from an ever-changing collection, using colourful paints to transform the designs.
Emily, a former accountant, established the business two years ago with a small loan from her grandfather.
At her existing studio in Prestwich, Emily has since hosted parties ranging from children’s birthdays to baby showers.
She said: “We’re thrilled to be working with Next and expanding the Emily’s Paint a Pot business. Since launching, our concept has been entertaining kids and adults alike and we always love to see the imaginative, unique, and fun designs that our customers come up with.
“Our joint venture with Next will offer the same vibrant paint a pot experience that our original store does. It’ll offer a great day out and is the perfect way to break up a shopping trip with something that’s a bit different from your usual activities.”
She continued: “We will be hosting lots of exciting workshops and will be joining forces with Gino D’Acampo’s new restaurant as well, also opening in Next. They will be providing some brilliant food for our children’s parties.
“I’m so grateful to Next for giving me this opportunity and can’t wait to see the studio become a hive of activity for people of all ages to compliment Next’s exciting new children’s department.”
