CreativeRace wins the MOBO Awards 2017 Talent Retreat PR Brief
Leading independent marketing agency, CreativeRace, has been awarded a high-profile PR brief from one of Europe’s biggest music events, The MOBO Awards, to manage the 2017 Talent Retreat.
The 22nd annual MOBO Awards show will be held on Wednesday 29th November at the First Direct Arena, Leeds. The MOBO Awards is attended by some of the biggest names in the urban music scene. With celebrity and VIP guests expected, and an arena audience of up to 10,000 people, this year’s ceremony promises to be one of the largest MOBO Awards to date.
CreativeRace will manage the Talent Retreat, a backstage area reserved for brands to showcase and gift their products to the high-profile nominees, performers and guest presenters in attendance. Taking place during the day of the ceremony, MOBO is offering relevant brands the opportunity to hire a VIP box at Leeds First Direct Arena to be used as an immersive brand experience for the attendees.
CreativeRace is responsible for identifying and liaising with brands for the Talent Retreat, as well as managing the event on the day.
Speaking about The MOBO Awards project win, Head of PR & Social at CreativeRace, Emma Streets, said: “We’re excited to work with such an iconic organization as MOBO to facilitate brand and influencer collaboration at their 22nd Awards. As a Leeds-based agency, we’re proud that this event has returned to the city for the second time since 2015 and we’re looking forward to working with brands on a global, national and regional scale to add to the talent’s backstage experience.”
Eunice Obianagha, The MOBO Organisation, added: “It gives us great pleasure to be back in Leeds and working with Creative Race to deliver this year’s Talent Retreat. This year is one of our largest events to date, and all of the artists, performers and guest presenters will be in for a treat!”
