Hull audio-visual firm targets business growth with recruitment drive and new Cambridge tech hub
Electric String, the audio-visual systems specialist based in Hull, is marking seven years in business with a recruitment drive and the launch of a new technical centre in Cambridge.
Founded in 2010, the company designs and installs automation and audio-visual systems for Homes, Yachts and Businesses.
Starting out as a microbusiness in the Enterprise Centre at the University of Hull, Electric String has recently appointed Jill Phillips as director of business development to continue driving the company’s expansion plans.
Over the past six months, Electric String has recruited six new members of staff which has boosted its workforce to 22 members. The company also pledges to create new jobs across all three of its offices in Hull, Cambridge and London.
Electric String’s new open-plan office in Cambridge is almost complete and will house the company’s technical team. The office will specialise in Designing and Testing bespoke audio-visual systems for marine, commercial and residential projects.
Since its formation, Electric String has served more than 200 clients and completed audio visual and installation projects across the UK and Europe.
