Inside Gino D’Acampo’s new ‘pizza and prosecco’ restaurant in Manchester
TV chef Gino D’Acampo is launching his newest dining venture in Manchester this week.
Located on the first floor of Next at the Arndale shopping centre, My Pizza & Prosecco Bar by Gino D’Acampo features high ceilings and a glass façade offering panoramic views of nearby Cathedral Gardens.
At the heart of the 200-seat restaurant, which has a dedicated entrance on Corporation Street, is an open kitchen with two wood-fired Italian pizza ovens and a 23-metre island prosecco bar.
The venue’s interiors have been decorated with the washed woods seen in Gino’s other restaurants, along with Carrara marble and green leather.
My Pizza & Prosecco Bar by Gino D’Acampo is the chef’s second culinary venture in the city, following on from the opening of his first at the Corn Exchange.
Gino said: “I’m super excited to be opening My Pizza and Prosecco Bar in Manchester and with my new partnership with Next.
“What more can someone want than great pizza, great prosecco and a bit of retail therapy.”
Jeremy Collins, of Deansgate-based property firm Jenics, played a key role in brokering the deal between Gino and Next.
Jeremy commented: “Rather than being a concession or leased outlet, usually the norm for leisure offers within a retail store or scheme, this is a pure joint venture between two recognised national brands.
“We saw the potential both of these brands offer each other, having aligned interests with a shared customer demographic and a genuinely complementary offer.”
He continued: “The success of this deal will lead to other retailers forming ‘relationships proper’ with food and beverage brands to enhance the shoppers’ experience and create the additional pull of a destination experience where the whole family can enjoy a day out.”
My Pizza & Prosecco Bar by Gino D’Acampo will open its doors on Friday (November 24).
