Doncaster care home company completes acquisition of seventh home

Trust Care Ltd, the Doncaster-based care home company, has completed the acquisition of its seventh home.

The company, which owns homes in Barnsley, Scunthorpe and five in Doncaster has purchased The Laurels, a residential nursing home in the South Yorkshire village of Norton.

Andrew Savage, managing director of Trust Care Ltd, said: “We take immense pride in the way we operate our businesses and The Laurels was a particularly appealing acquisition due to its family ownership, warm, friendly atmosphere and, as we continue with our expansion plans.

“Our over-arching emphasis is on quality. Quality homes, quality of care, quality of staff and quality of service to both residents and their families and, whilst we are delighted to achieve a Good rating by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), we are now putting a strategy in place to increase this rating.”

Other homes currently owned by Trust Care Ltd in Doncaster are Oaklands and Woodlea on Bawtry Road, Town Moor House overlooking Town Fields and Flower Park in Denaby Main. Wrawby Hall is in Brigg and Holly Tree Lodge in Barnsley.

The group currently employs over 250 local people and has a turnover of over £6.5m.

Andrew added: “We recognise that balancing the practical and emotional elements of finding the right care home for a family member is a time of tremendous upheaval and it can be difficult to know where to start and what needs to be considered.

“It is our aim to ensure that from the very beginning we offer our support by welcoming speculative visitors, offering advice where requested and guiding prospective residents and their families so that the correct care home is chosen which will deliver benefits for everyone.”
