Clarion donates a sleigh full of Christmas presents for the Cash for Kids Mission Christmas
Clarion is once again spreading some festive cheer by supporting the ‘Cash for Kids’ Mission Christmas which aims to make the season a little more special for disabled and disadvantaged children throughout the UK.
Over the last five years, the Leeds law firm has donated many presents with the help of employees and clients which Cash for Kids have distributed as part of its annual Christmas campaign.
“Supporting Mission Christmas is a great reminder of what the festive season is really all about,” comments Helen Saunders, Head of HR at Clarion. “It’s always really moving to see not only colleagues, but also so many of our clients, taking the time and trouble to add a gift to the sleigh in our reception, helping to make it a happier Christmas for disabled and disadvantaged children throughout Yorkshire.
“This year, we’re also going a step further and 15 of the Clarion team will be donning their elf hats to volunteer at the Cash For Kids Leeds headquarters at the Radio Aire Studios on Kirkstall Road to help sort some of the thousands of presents collected in the region.”
Radio Aires Cash for Kids Charity Manager Lisa Sullivan says “We are so grateful to have the continued support of Clarion, they are so passionate about helping those less fortunate. This year we expect to help a record breaking 23,500 local children, who are at the risk of waking up to nothing on Christmas Day, without our help. We can only do this with amazing supporters like Clarion. We desperately need help more than ever so please dig deep and help bring back the magic of Christmas to these local children’s lives”.
The 2016 Cash for Kids Mission Christmas appeal raised £15,437,328 in gifts and cash, enabling the charity to support 362,694 disabled and disadvantaged children across the UK.
