Towngate PLC expands Leeds presence with 20,000 sq ft warehouse acquisition
Towngate PLC, the commercial property landlord, has secured the purchase of a 20,000 sq ft warehouse unit on Gelderd Lane, Leeds.
The acquisition of the site was completed earlier this month and adds to the firm’s portfolio of properties in the Gelderd Road area.
Previously forming part of the larger Leeds West industrial complex, the warehouse unit is adjacent to Towngate’s Olympia Trading Estate and sits approximately on 2.8 acres of land.
The industrial property specialist has acquired the building with 10 years remaining on a lease to Farsley Transport, a distribution and courier service provider.
Farsley Transport, has also recently commenced a three-year occupation of Unit 4C at the Olympia Trading Estate.
Tom Lamb, property manager at Towngate, said: “We are delighted to be able to add yet another warehouse unit to our growing portfolio of Leeds properties on Gelderd Lane.
“The prime position of the facility, as well as its highly functional space, means it is well-placed to fulfil a host of different business demands.
“We are happy to be taking on our existing tenant Farsley Transport with the property and are looking forward to developing our relationship with them over the coming years.”
