Maya Property submits plans for Altrincham development
Altrincham-based Maya Property Developments, in partnership with Generation Ltd, has submitted plans for a 48 unit state-of-the-art, residential development on the banks of the Bridgewater Canal in Altrincham.
The accommodation comprises 18 one bed and 30 two bedroom apartments accessed on Bridgewater Road. There are 43 ground floor parking and 51 cycles spaces also proposed.
The application seeks permission for a mixed seven-and-three storey building on the site of the former Rileys Snooker Club on Bridgewater Road and close to the Altrincham Retail Park which is on the opposite side of the canal.
Designed by Ollier Smurthwaite, the scheme has angled windows to give a perfect view down the canal-side. There are also south-facing balconies overlooking Altrincham, communal terraces with perimeter planting and a hard and soft landscaped courtyard at ground level.
Should planning be approved, it is hoped that the scheme will start on site early summer 2018 with completion towards the end of 2019.
Sanjeev Mehan, founder of Maya Property Developments Limited said: “Altrincham is a fantastic location with a strong residential demand and great transport links.
“My team at Maya Property recognised the opportunity to actively contribute to the existing developments in the area.
“The site is in a location which had been overlooked in the past but with improvements to the canal path, a new bridge planned, nearby parks and the improving retail/leisure offering nearby, this is changing quickly.
“We hope to create a version of modern living with the latest smart-home functionality together with great design which still has time for nature, open space and areas to unwind. We look forward to delivering that vision with our partners, Generation.”
