Multiple contract wins spell end of year high for Teesside engineering business
Teesside fabrication and engineering firm Francis Brown Limited is ending the year on a high after securing four contracts in the last few weeks, worth over £1m of business.
Based in Stockton on Tees, the family run business has secured deals in the oil and gas, renewable energy and petrochemical sectors, all of which are scheduled to be completed by the end of the first quarter next year.
The awarded contracts - with both new and existing clients – will see projects managed from concept through to final assembly, installation and inspection.
Speaking about the contract wins, Mark Roddy, Managing Director at Francis Brown said: “We are delighted with our recent contract wins which really demonstrate Francis Brown’s core ability to transfer our world class engineering and welding excellence across a diverse range of sectors to deliver our unique and tailored solutions.”
The company will deliver a new project to one of its existing clients, advanced global supplier of subsea equipment, SMD.
Mark said: “Having worked very closely with SMD in recent months, we are delighted to have secured an additional contract and continue to build our relationship with the company.
“Repeat orders are true testament that Francis Brown delivers on what we promise; HSE, specification, schedule and within budget.”
One of the other contracts will see Francis Brown deliver its services to a leading oil and gas company in Aberdeen.
Mark said: “Having seen a dip in contracts being awarded across the whole supply chain in the oil and gas sector, there are some signs the market is shifting positively, and as such, securing this contract highlights to Francis Brown that the future is promising in the sector with some investment starting to ripple through to tier two suppliers.”
