Newcastle law firm reveals city centre expansion for 2018

Newcastle law firm Samuel Phillips has revealed plans to expand to larger office space in the heart of the city.

Taking up residency at 18-24 Grey Street, a Grade II listed building which has been the subject of much refurbishment work following a multi million pound purchase, the company will soon leave its current premise near Newcastle Central Station behind.

The move, set for early 2018, will allow the business to accommodate more staff, centralise operations and launch a fresh look.

The news follows the company investing over £85k in its IT and technology systems whilst also renewing its Lexcel accreditation, a quality mark for excellence in legal practice management and excellence in client care.

The Grey Street offices, which were acquired by investment company Stessa Commercial, are being marketed and managed by leading North East property firm Bradley Hall.

Robert Gibson, partner and head of property and commercial law for the firm, said: “This is a significant time of growth for the business as it comes up to its 100th anniversary.

“We have invested heavily in our technology systems, our staff training and are looking forward to welcoming more members to the team and growing our client base.”
