North West flight consolidator on track for £94m revenue after record month
Flight consolidator Aviate recorded double-digit sales growth in October.
The Ellesmere Port-based firm said the month was its busiest to date, with ticket sales leaping year on year by 47%.
Aviate is now on track to generate a record revenue of £94m for the 2017/18 year.
Michael Edwards, managing director at Aviate, said the “fantastic” uptick is “a real testament” to the efforts of his team.
He commented: “We’ve got lots of exciting developments planned for 2018 so I’m confident that our performance will continue to go from strength to strength.”
Aviate has reported a constant upward trend in sales in the last four years.
In 2014/15, the travel services provider worked with 10 airlines and generated revenues of £21.2m, growing that figure to £38.7m in 2015/16 and £60.7m in 2016/17.
Today, Aviate works with 50 main airlines.
