Bradford-based Driver Hire completes record December as turnover hits £13m
Driver Hire, the transport and logistics specialist recruitment company, has reported record-breaking Christmas.
Strong demand nationwide for Driver Hire’s team of temporary workers boosted the Bradford-based firm’s December turnover to £13.1m, 14% up on the same period in 2016.
Chris Chidley, Driver Hire’s chief executive, said: “Once again there’s been a big demand for our service in the run-up to Christmas.
“As in previous years, the increasing percentage of online retail sales – which create more home deliveries – has played a significant part in our success.
“In addition, our core national account customers, for whom high quality reliable service really matters, have also kept us exceptionally busy.”
Strong trading throughout the financial year to date means that, across Driver Hire’s nationwide network, nearly a third of Driver Hire’s 102 offices have already, individually, passed £1m turnover; two offices have achieved £2m turnover, with a further six on track to reach that landmark within the next month.
Chris Chidley added: “Our ability to deliver the right people to meet the demands of our customers, along with a highly compliant 24/7, 365 days a year service continues to set us in good stead.
“That is being reflected with strong trading, right across our network.”
