The Sovini Group Lift off for Alder Hey
The Sovini Group were amongst a number of Merseyside businesses who volunteered to pull a Boeing 737 aircraft weighing almost 40 tonnes, to help raise vital funds for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.
Sovini employees toughed it out at Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) and helped raise over £2,500 for the cause, joining businesses such as Matalan, Peel and Santander.
The money raised will be added to more than £80,000 already raised by LJLA for the charity during the last 12 months.
Roy Williams, The Sovini Group Chief Executive Officer took part in the event at LJLA said:
“We are delighted to have taken part in such a great fundraiser event, well done to all involved and thank you to Liverpool John Lennon Airport for asking us to take part.”
Carol Dutton, HR & community director for LJLA said: “This has been an amazing effort by everyone involved. A big thank you to all the companies who gave up time to take part in this unique challenge and particularly to Blue Air for providing one of it’s aircraft. “
