Anoki restaurant expands into the ready meal market

Anoki Fine Dining Indian restaurant has extended its brand offering with the launch of its own Express range of ready meals.

The company, which has restaurants in Derby, Nottingham and Burton, has launched the new range of pre-cooked meals following a hugely successful pilot scheme at the end of last year.

The ready meals, which are freshly cooked every day by Anoki’s team of expert chefs, include some of the restaurant’s most popular dishes - with a selection of starters, seven main courses, plus rice and naan breads.

The Express range delivers restaurant quality food at a fraction of the price. It caters for all tastes and palates with mild, medium and hot main courses, plus a selection of vegetarian options.

Starters cost £2.95 each, with main courses from £3.50 and extras such as rice and naan breads from £1.25.

The dishes, which are branded with the distinctive Anoki logo, are available to collect from 3pm at Anoki restaurants on London Road in Derby, Barker Gate in Nottingham and A38 Egginton. Parking is available at the Derby and Burton restaurants*.

Dishes need to be heated for just three minutes in the microwave, with the additional option of freezing and re-heating later, meaning customers can enjoy fresh, traditional Indian cuisine whenever it suits them.

Commenting on the launch of the new Express range, Naveed Khaliq, founder of Anoki, said:

“We’ve spent the last 12 months tweaking and perfecting the range in-house, ensuring that storage, cooking and reheating times are set to guarantee optimal Anoki flavours. “A pilot scheme earlier this year proved a huge success, with our restaurants selling out pretty much every day. Reviews of our pre-cooked meals have also been extremely positive.

“Customers can now pick up their favourite Anoki meals from the fridge here, then heat at home and eat at their leisure.

“We currently offer seven main courses and two starters and plan to extend the range in the coming months. We also have plans to extend the number of outlets where the Express range can be purchased from, ensuring the best quality ready meals on the market are easily accessible.”

Anoki Derby opened in 2003 and is still setting the standard for Indian restaurants across the region, serving up indulgent cuisine in luxurious surroundings.

Anoki, the Urdu for ‘unique’, combines the finest food and superlative service to create the ultimate dining experience.

Its menu offers an authentic insight into traditional Indian cuisine. Each dish is created using the finest ingredients, all in their own spicy aromatic sauces that promise an explosion of flavour with each bite.

From the vibe in the restaurant to the wonderful food created in the kitchen, it’s easy to see why Anoki is one of the most popular restaurants in the Midlands.
