TRANSPORT SPECIALIST TO BENEFIT FROM MEDICAL EXPERTISE WITH NEW PARTNERSHIP

A leading provider of independent medical services has partnered with Nexus and Metro Services to support the health and wellbeing of its employees.

North East-based Newcastle Premier Health has partnered with the transport specialist to deliver a range of occupational health care services to its employees.

In line with the company’s aim to continually support and promote mental and physical health and wellbeing, Nexus and Metro Services employees’ at three North East facilities - Nexus House in Newcastle City Centre, Nexus Rail HQ in Gosforth and Nexus Metro Depot, Regent Centre, Gosforth - will receive a range of onsite and offsite occupational health services.

The services, which include physiotherapy, drug and alcohol testing and an employment advice phone line, will be delivered by an occupational health advisor and occupational health technician from Newcastle Premier Health, with the aim of reducing absenteeism, improving productivity and further promoting a healthy workforce within a safe environment.

The partnership comes at a time of rapid growth for Newcastle Premier Health which has recently launched repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS), an innovative new treatment for depression, in conjunction with The London Psychiatry Centre of Harley Street, London. The treatment has been approved by The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) and fully endorsed by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

To accommodate the expansion of its services, the company has also moved to a larger, purpose-built facility in Dobson House, Regent Centre, Gosforth, and has welcomed new appointments across multiple disciplines, this includes an occupational health technician and a travel and clinic nurse.
