Manchester investor ‘firmly established’ with new Marsden Street base
Investor BGF is shoring up its presence in the North West with a new Manchester base.
The company relocated its team in the city to a 3,545 sq ft office at One Marsden Street.
The move follows the completion of several new investments, including funding for Cheshire-based tomato grower A Pearson Group and Trafford vehicle controls manufacturer European Braking Systems.
To date, BGF’s North West team has ploughed over £170m into the region’s businesses.
The figure includes £30m to companies already in the firm’s portfolio, such as Hale-headquartered High Access Maintenance and Hobs Reprographics.
Andy Gregory, regional director at BGF, said: “BGF has firmly established a presence in Manchester, and our network continues to grow in and around the city.
“The new office and the continued growth of BGF’s team and portfolio reflects our commitment to the region, and the strength of the opportunity here.”
He continued: “We look forward to welcoming the management teams and non-executives we work with, as well as our wider network, to our new offices. We encourage them to use space as a modern and convenient location to conduct their own meetings and events.”
BGF launched its Manchester team in 2011 and today backs over 20 businesses in the region.
