Manchester brand agency set for record £2m turnover
Digital brand development agency I-COM is on track for a record seven-figure turnover.
Having just completed its third quarter, the Manchester-based company is now forecast to generate sales of more than £2m for the first time in its 13-year history.
During Q3, I-COM said revenues were up year on year by 15%.
The company has transformed over the last 12 months to refocus it services and become a specialist brand development agency. Following the restructure, I-COM secured briefs with a number of new clients, among them sock retailer SockShop and drainage business Lanes Group.
The agency also added to its brand marketing team at the end of 2017 with the appointment of four new staff.
I-COM managing director Mike Blackburn said: “I-COM started out to be an SEO agency but we quickly recognised that our clients wanted a single agency that could build their websites, as well as promote them.
“Traditional SEO techniques can no longer be relied upon to deliver the numbers of visitors they used to and we now recognise that brand awareness and credibility is all important for online success.”
He continued: “We have worked hard to develop our capabilities and expertise through new hires and training in areas such as PR, data analysis and content creation, and by utilising our unique range of skills we are able to drive success for our clients.”
Speaking further, Mike said the company is now “actively seeking” opportunities to acquire complementary businesses, adding: “The next year should be an exciting one for I-COM”.
