David Wilson Homes reports strong sales after hosting Part Exchange weekend

Local housebuilder David Wilson Homes, which has the St John’s Walk development in Barnsley, has reported strong sales following a special part exchange weekend on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th January. There were a total of 23 sales, with four part exchange sales made over the weekend, demonstrating the buoyancy of the housing market.

The exclusive event saw an independent team provide same-day valuations of visitors’ current properties, compared to the normal seven-day turnaround, meaning that a price could be agreed with the David Wilson Homes Part Exchange team on the day. David Wilson Homes also offered a team of experts to provide practical advice on selling your home using the Part Exchange scheme.

Alongside this, those that reserved a new home at the event received help towards their stamp duty and free flooring. The Part Exchange scheme continues to prove popular and means that buyers are left with no estate agent fees at the end of the sale and no chain to slow down the moving process.

Sam Wood, Sales Director at David Wilson Homes Yorkshire West, said: “We’re delighted to have seen such strong sales following our Part Exchange event across the region. The process when using the scheme is so simple and is proving extremely popular – we highly anticipate many visitors returning to purchase quality homes at our developments following the weekend.”

St John’s Walk is a beautiful countryside development of four and five bedroom homes located in the village of Hoylandswaine. Homes are available to purchase from £339,995.
