Enterprise IT specialist Systal Technology Solutions to create 30 new jobs at head office
New team of specialist engineers will support global organisations in maintaining network operations
Enterprise IT specialist Systal Technology Solutions is set to create 30 new highly skilled jobs as it expands new incident management team. The IM team will be based at its Glasgow Operations Center, which provides a range of proactive IT support services to large scale enterprises.
As a specialist incident management team, the new team will manage the fix when clients experience business critical technical problems or security breaches. The team will be the first line of response, tasked with rapidly identifying and isolating the problem, and driving forward a solution to get the organisation’s technology up and running again as rapidly as possible.
Systal is creating the team in response to increased demand for onshore rather than overseas-based assistance to respond to critical incidents. It is expected to grow and generate 30 skilled FTE jobs over the next two years.
“Efficient IT operations are one of the hallmarks of business continuity today,” said Neil Nicolson, director at Systal.
“The trouble is, new technologies mean that infrastructures are getting increasingly complicated and dynamic, and there’s the growing threat of cybercrime to contend with too.
“In turn, this means increasing demand for incident management teams with sophisticated skillsets, and a wealth of experience– and this can’t be easily delivered offshore.
“We’re really proud of our onshore Operations Centre and how it enables us to offer our customers really close partnerships and fantastic continuity of service. The new incident management team will be an integral part of the OC and its expansion moving forward and we’re pleased to be a position that allows us to create highly skilled IT roles in the region.”
