Cloud Technology Solutions hosts first ever Google Cloud Platform User Group Meetup in the North West

Manchester-based Cloud Technology Solutions (CTS) is hosting the first ever Google Cloud Platform (GCP) User Group Meetup in the North West.

On 24 January at 6pm, CTS will host the Meetup at its new offices in central Manchester,

The event is aimed at those looking to understand more about Google’s public cloud platform, as well as those who work in a cloud focussed role and would benefit from a greater understanding of what GCP has to offer.

Attending on the day will be a Google engineer offering first hand insights into the latest developments on the platform. Accompanying the expert, a CTS Intel professional will also be present to talk about the role their technology plays for the end user.

GCP Meetups have proved popular with individuals and businesses in London, but CTS’s event will be the first to take place in the North West, with expert advice and testimonial, as well as food and drinks on arrival for those who choose to attend.

Speaking about the Meetup, CEO and co-founder, James Doggart, said: “As a Google Cloud Premier Partner, we’re thrilled to be the first company in the North West to host a GCP User Group Meetup.

“Technology transforms businesses, but businesses have had to fundamentally change along with technological developments. With this comes a need for their employees to build a greater understanding of cloud platforms and the way they function.

“The Meetup aims to achieve this and, by hosting such an event, we hope to further develop knowledge and understanding of Google’s cloud platform across businesses in the North West.”

Those wanting to attend on the day can register via the Meetup website, a site dedicated to bringing people together for various events.

Founded 10 years ago, CTS provides business transformation solutions to a broad range of businesses across its cloud-based products. The Google Premier Partner has migrated nearly 7 million users into the ‘cloud’ including, most recently, Manchester City Council.

The CTS team have undertaken projects for Ladbrokes-Coral Group, Homeserve Plc and RoadChef. CTS has also developed a strong offering in Google Cloud Platform and containerisation, offering eCommerce and SaaS businesses new opportunities for development.
