Destination management firm targets Britain's booming tourism industry with new London base
Destination management services firm Ovation Global DMC has expanded into the UK.
The Dublin-headquartered company said its new London team will design and produce high-touch incentive and event programmes for association, agency and corporate clients.
Ovation provides destination consultancy, creative event design and event operations for groups of up to 12k people.
Ian Lapworth, Ovation’s UK operations director, said: “It’s extremely exciting for the UK to be part of the Ovation Global DMC brand, which consists of more than 50 destinations around the globe working together as a collaborative network.
“At Ovation we work closely with our clients to fulfil their visions by tapping into our local knowledge to provide creative destination solutions.”
Discussing the expansion further, Ian pointed to London’s high ranking in the 2017 Mastercard Global Destinations City Index as indicative of Britain’s appeal as a tourist destination.
According to the report, nearly 20 million travellers came to Britain in 2017.
Ian continued: “Our strategic move into the Ovation Global DMC market promises opportunities to work with new clients for creating meaningful experiences and helping them meet and exceed their business goals.”
