Liverpool company creates jobs with new healthy eating café in Chorlton
Leisure operator The Know Group has invested five figures in the launch of its second Love Thy Neighbour eatery in the North West.
The company opened its new café in Chorlton, Manchester with the help of a £70k boost from funding provider MSIF, creating seven jobs.
Love Thy Neighbour was first set up on Liverpool’s Bold Street in 2016 by Know Group directors Steven and Nicola Hesketh, who envisioned a concept centred around healthy eating within an ambient, welcoming and holiday-style setting.
CEO Steven said: “Chorlton has been the perfect fit for Love Thy Neighbour – a true bohemian subculture with a healthy mix of style and substance.
“We’ve been truly overwhelmed by the support we’ve received from the close knit community here since we opened and with plans for lots of collaborations and events 2018 looks like it will be a very fun year for our second venue.”
He added: “We are delighted to have been supported in our growth by MSIF and we are so pleased they saw the vision and direction for this young and vibrant brand in the Know Group.”
Andy Jones, investment manager at Liverpool-based MSIF, commented: “It has been great to work with the Love Thy Neighbour team – they understand their unique brand and offering, which has led to their success.
“The new business in Chorlton will follow in the original Bold Street branches footsteps, and I look forward to seeing its development and mirrored success story.”
