Work begins on site of 100,000 sq ft warehouse development at Logic Leeds

Work has now commenced on site at Trilogy@Logic, a 100,000 sq ft speculative warehouse development at Muse Developments’ Logic Leeds business park.

The development comprises three units, ranging from 30,000 sq ft to 37,000 sq ft, and will provide occupiers with brand new warehouse and industrial space.

GMI were selected as contractor and completion of the first unit is scheduled for June this year.

The Leeds offices of property consultancies Knight Frank and Carter Towler have been appointed as joint letting agents to market the units on behalf of Leeds City Council.

Iain McPhail, partner with Knight Frank’s industrial team in Leeds, said: “There is a lack of available new stock of this size in the West Yorkshire region, so Trilogy@Logic is a very timely development. It is perfectly placed to accommodate the pent-up demand from occupiers.

“The fundamentals for success are already in place with the wider Logic Leeds development already boasting two household names in Amazon and John Lewis, proving that the business park, with its excellent transport links and access to a skilled workforce, is attractive to successful national companies.”

Ian Greenwood, director at Carter Towler, added: “The units will benefit from close proximity to J45 of the M1, as well as easy access to Leeds city centre and J4 of the M621.

“The units will be finished to a very high quality and will be built to institutional standards to include 8m haunch heights, ground level loading doors, secure concrete service yards and integral office space.”

Councillor Richard Lewis, executive member regeneration transport and planning of Leeds City Council, also commented: “The council has worked hard with developers to make the Leeds City Region Enterprise Zone a location of choice for new businesses to the area and companies within the city seeking growth opportunities.

“These units will provide further scope for job creation whilst further cementing the Leeds City Region Enterprise Zone’s reputation as a strategic location for economic growth.”
