Hatton Traffic Management is encouraging more businesses to ‘Sign Up’
One of the UK’s most successful and longest-trading traffic management firms Hatton Traffic Management has signed the Armed Forces Covenant and is encouraging more businesses to become forces-friendly employers.
Operating from nine depots UK-wide, Hatton’s pledge to the Armed Forces Covenant has underlined its commitment to being a responsible employer and its dedication to create more jobs for ex-Armed Forces members throughout the UK.
In recognition of its support, Hatton has been awarded a Bronze accreditation from the Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS). The Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) acknowledges employers who have signed the Armed Forces Covenant and provide exceptional support to the armed forces community, including serving personnel, service leavers, veterans, and their families.
Tom Bailey, Managing Director of Hatton Traffic Management, commented, “Since our establishment in 1976, we’ve always been passionate about being a responsible employer and generating local employment opportunities to drive recruitment throughout the UK. The standards of the Armed Forces Covenant are clear and we recognise the value ex-members of the Armed Forces can bring to Hatton with their strong skill set and wealth of experience.”
He continued, “We already have a significant number of ex-Armed Forces members working for Hatton Traffic Management and we’re thrilled to officially announce our partnership and be awarded the Bronze accreditation. We look forward to continuing to develop our partnership moving forward.”
Gary McLafferty, Regional Employer Engagement Director of the North of England Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association, commented, “We are delighted that Hatton Traffic Management have both signed an Armed Forces Covenant pledging their support to the Armed Forces community and have received their Defence Bronze Employer Recognition Scheme award in recognition of their intent to employ ex-service and Reservists. This is a really positive move by Hatton to access a fantastic ‘talent pool’ and we’re looking forward to working with them in the future.”
Hatton Traffic Management specialises in providing a full range of traffic management services including street works, high speed motorway closures and highly-successful events traffic management for large scale events such as the Great North Run since 1987.
