Welcome to the Zen Zone at intu Metrocentre!

intu Metrocentre is giving shoppers the chance to shake off the stresses of the new year and beat the January blues with a special free relaxation zone.

From Monday 29 January until Sunday 4 February the Zen Zone will be offering an oasis of calm, where visitors can take time to relax, unwind and focus on their own well-being.

Situated in Town Square, outside House of Fraser, the zen garden will feature softly illuminated inflatable relaxation pods where shoppers can escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life to clear their mind, focus on the moment or chill out with a newspaper.

The zen garden will satisfy all the senses - ensuring a total body relaxation experience. As an indulgent treat, shoppers can enjoy free mini massages from trained masseurs - sessions are available from 12pm until 5pm, last five minutes and are on a first come, first served basis.

While visitors enjoy a moment of mindfulness their senses will soothed by the calming, stress-relieving scent of lavender, emanating from the zen garden provided by Rebel Flower Company.

Comfortable beans bags will be scattered around the Zen Zone, encouraging shoppers to sit back and relax while they enjoy free positive smoothie samples from wagamama.

For a mindful eating experience, shoppers can head along to wagamama where throughout January and February the restaurant is partnering with Mind to raise awareness of mental health.

Apart from offering delicious food which nourishes the soul, wagamama is donating 25p from every positive juice sold to Mind and has introduced new colouring placemats so adults and children alike can indulge in mindful colouring which can help reduce stress levels.
