Digital agency launches online campaign to highlight region's creative fields
A video and animation studio, based in Newcastle, has unveiled a 12-month online video campaign in a bid to highlight the North East’s independent creative and retail sectors.
Going under the hashtag of #NEMavericks, Three Motion Media - at Hoults Yard - has said it wanted to use its production knowledge to provide an alternative insight into the ‘booming’ entrepreneurial world that exists in this region.
The first video of the North East Mavericks campaign features one of the Ouseburn Valley’s latest inhabitants, Backyard Bike Shop, a bike service company making a name for itself on Tyneside.
Three Motion Media’s creative director, Neil Wood-Mitchell, said: “We believe this will be the year of the Maverick.
“The North East has a thriving independent scene and we’re seeing more and more great small businesses online and on our high streets. We want to celebrate and applaud that entrepreneurial spirit and that’s why we’ve launched this new video series.
“The North East understands that in order to compete against the rest and propel ourselves onto a national stage, we must collaborate, and video is a great vehicle to communicate these messages.”
Led by co-founder, Nic Vieri, the Backyard Bike Shop is situated on Lime Street in the Ouseburn Valley, providing a full-service workshop as well as specialising in high-end custom builds and bike repairs.
It also has a professional bike fitting area and offers sports massage as well as coaching for all levels of ability delivered by their team of experts.
Neil added: “The NEMavericks campaign seeks to celebrate brave and audacious business owners around the region, who seek to do things a little differently and Backyard Bike Shop certainly fit this bill.
“The independent scene in the North East has never been better. We’re witnessing a time where creatives and entrepreneurs can flourish and be counted. We hope this series will add fuel to that fire.”
