Cyber security specialist to expand workforce following £50k UKSE investment
Converging Data, a specialist in data analytics and cyber security, is on track to increase its workforce following a £50k investment from UK Steel Enterprise (UKSE).
Operating from branches in Barnsley, Leeds and Sydney, Converging Data operates as a single team across multiple time zones. In the UK, the Converging Data team has established relationships with Barclays, NHS England, The London Clinic and NHS Digital, to name a few.
Established in Sydney, Australia in 2013, UK lead Neil Murphy founded its Barnsley site in November 2015, and continues to work closely alongside its overseas division.
Speaking of the investment deal, Neil Murphy commented: “The funding that we have received from UK Steel Enterprise is vital to our continued growth and expansion as we continue to drive the business forward.
“Allowing us to appoint three new sales specialists, the funding will also ensure that we acquire the technical expertise required to support our services, furthering our national and international scope.
“It is of key importance to us that we invest in talent across the Yorkshire region, and with requirements for technical expertise only increasing in the area, our expansion will help us to satisfy the demands for our services.”
Alan Stanley from UK Steel Enterprise added: “Neil has built Converging Data up from a start-up in the UK to a rapidly expanding business with numerous blue chip clients in less than two years, and we are delighted to have provided this investment to assist with further growth and job creation in the Yorkshire and Humber area.”
