Mike Mitchell named as site manager for Barratt Homes' Penndrumm Fields development

Barratt Homes has appointed Mike Mitchell as site manager for its Penndrumm Fields development - a brand new community of 82 homes in Looe.

Hailing from Cornwall, Mike will oversee construction at the site, working closely with all those involved in the process - including subcontractors and suppliers. He has been working within the industry for more than 23 years and says one of his priorities is to lay the groundwork not only for bricks and mortar but for a close-knit community.

“This is a wonderful development to work on, and I know the whole team here is proud of what we’re accomplishing. From the layout and mix of different house types across the site, to our location - close to a beautiful beach - I couldn’t have asked for a better design and setting.

“Getting to know our customers is an important part of my job, and sharing in their excitement about moving here is particularly satisfying.

“Having worked with Barratt for the past 17 years, working my way through different roles, I’ve developed an understanding for all aspects of the construction process - and it’s standing me in good stead at Penndrumm Fields. Work on these new homes is progressing well, and I’m eager to see it progress towards completion.”
