Stockton's Mobile Mini expands its London branch following £800k investment

A North East-based hirer of secure storage containers and portable site accommodation, has announced the opening of its flagship London branch at Gravesend, Kent.

Mobile Mini, with a head office in Stockton, is opening its biggest branch yet, following the merger of its existing Gravesend branch with its former branch in South Ockendon, Essex.

An investment of more than £800k into the expanded and upgraded five-acre site, enables Mobile Mini to meet increasing demand across London and the South East.

The investment, which has facilitated extensive workshop facility upgrades as well as new offices and additional storage space, has enabled the company to increase capacity, reduce lead times and further build on its reputation for exceptional customer service.

Responsible for the team of 47 in London, branch manager, Lisa Jones, said: “This consolidation into one larger, better equipped site will allow us to grow the business faster, work more efficiently and is great for employee morale.”

Speaking about the group’s current growth, Chris Morgan, managing director, added: “These are exciting times at Mobile Mini, as we go through this period of investment and growth, whilst still striving to maintain our reputation for exceeding customer expectations.

“London and the South East is an area where we have seen exceptionally strong growth, and our new larger branch will help to sustain that growth in the coming years.”

Mobile Mini also announced the appointment of Phil Hughes as regional director for the south, who brings 30 years worth of experience within the industry.

Phil also said: “It’s great to be a part of an organisation with exceptional people who are constantly looking to improve the overall customer service and experience - something I hope to strengthen during my time with the company.”
