Construction underway on 64-home Bellway scheme in Salford
Work is underway on the residential development opposite Buile Hill Park in Salford.
Housebuilder Bellway is delivering 64 new homes at Eccles Old Road, on a 4.39-acre site previously owned by All Hallows Roman Catholic High School.
Known as Hilltop Manor, the scheme will comprise a mix of three- and four-bedroom detached and semi-detached homes.
Louise Chamberlain, sales director at Bellway Homes, said: “We’re delighted to start the year with a new development in Salford.
“Close to Salford Royal Hospital and an easy commute to Manchester city centre, the development is ideally located for hospital workers and those working in both Manchester and Salford city centres.”
Speaking further, Louise said buyer interest has already exceeded expectations.
She added: “We have taken our first seven reservations.”
Under the terms of the planning application, Bellway Homes will make a number of Section 106 contributions to Salford Council.
The payments include £335k towards affordable housing, £362k for education and £209k to open space.
