Growth investor Hambro Perks establishes EIS fund
Growth investment firm Hambro Perks has launched a new Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) fund.
The London-based company is looking to offer tax-efficient opportunities for prospective investors as they connect with talented innovators and business owners.
Through Hambro Perks’ EIS fund, individuals will have the chance to co-invest and back innovators while benefiting from the reliefs afforded by the Enterprise Investment Scheme.
Businesses with less than £15m of assets can raise up to £5m each year with EIS, to a lifetime maximum of £12m.
Among the businesses already backed by Hambro Perks are gin company Sipsmith and on-demand washing service Laundrapp.
With the capital that the EIS fund receives, Hambro Perks hopes to write larger cheque sizes for investees while building its stake in the most promising companies.
