Scotland's Robertson Homes opens new North Tyneside developments with local Mayor
North Tyneside’s elected Mayor, Norma Redfearn, CBE has officially opened Robertson Homes’ Backworth Park development of 145 new homes.
Robertson Homes has been building houses in Scotland for more than 50 years but Backworth Park is its first foray into North Tyneside.
Mayor Redfearn said: “It’s always a pleasure to welcome new investment to this area and to see something a little different entering the housing market.
“Backworth has such a lot to offer, with great transport links for commuters, such as those using the A19 or Northumberland Metro Station.
“People have warmly embraced Robertson Homes already in the few weeks since the showhomes opened and I’d like to wish Backworth Park every success.”
The Backworth Park development is aiming to bring various three and four-bedroom home styles, priced from around £257k.
Some offer timber vaulted, glazed garden rooms, which give access to timber-fenced gardens.
Sharon Spinelli, sales director of Robertson Homes, added: “It took Robertson Homes five decades to find the right spot to tempt us south of the border but the people of North Tyneside have been great.
“Backworth really has it all in terms of lifestyle and we truly appreciate the warm welcome we’ve been given.”
The development is located 3.5 miles West of Whitley Bay and five miles North East of Newcastle.
