DCS payroll workshop offers insight on legal changes

Businesses can get up to date with the latest payroll legislation and cyber security standards as part of a specialist workshop being hosted by Deans Computer Services (DCS) at its Boston Spa HQ.

The event is taking place in the training room at Boston Lodge on Tuesday 13th March, between 10am and 1pm, when the DCS support team will be on hand to provide essential guidance regarding this year’s changes to payroll legal compliance and how they will affect the use of Pegasus software. The event will also provide expert advice on other important day-to-day IT issues, including General Data Protection Regulation, as well as cyber security awareness training from DCS partner, InfoSec Cloud.

DCS marketing director, Suzie Cowling, said:

“Our workshop is held annually and attended by many of our clients to get up to speed with any new issues or developments. Registration will start from 9.30am and the workshop starts at 10am. We will finish with lunch provided by DCS from 12.30pm to 1pm.

“This year’s workshop will be our first since DCS merged with Leckhampton Computers in 2017. Leckhampton director, Richard Foulds, will be there to provide an overview of the new services that we are now able to offer following the merger, which includes an expanded team of developers providing third party add-ons to accounting systems such as Pegasus Opera, Exchequer and Intact iQ. They can also offer consultancy and advice across multiple platforms and operating systems. Leckhampton have expertise in providing mobile and tablet applications for business, document management solutions and integrating internet services with existing systems.

“DCS have a number of other events lined up this year, including our Spring Conference taking place at Rudding Park, near Harrogate, on the 24th of April. DCS will be hosting the conference alongside a number of other exhibitors, providing an opportunity to hear the UK’s leading keynote speakers on issues and new technologies that are relevant to businesses today. Subjects include Digital Transformation, General Data Protection Regulation, interactive giant touchscreens and stock, barcoding and warehouse management. The Spring Conference will provide a host of information and advice, face-to-face Q&A sessions with market leaders and a chance to get hands-on with the latest technology.”
