London digital agency plots Northern expansion
Digital agency AND Digital has established its first Northern operation with a base in Manchester.
The London firm’s new office is at Headspace Group’s 15,000 sq ft work and events hub, located in the Albert Estate area of the city centre.
AND Digital, which has three offices across the capital, signed up for a 40-person space at the scheme but plans to grow to 80 over the next year.
The expansion is part of the company’s strategy to grow its presence in the North, with plans already in place for an opening in Leeds.
AND Digital helps businesses accelerate their digital capabilities by helping them design, setup and enhance their digital function. It currently employs more than 300 in the UK.
Headspace Manchester opened in February last year. Since then it has built up a business community ranging from PLCs to startups.
AND Digital’s managing director for the North of England, Malcolm Seagrave, said: “Not only is Manchester a hugely vibrant city, but it represents a major opportunity for AND Digital, specifically in terms of demand for what we are doing. It was the obvious place from which to launch our Northern expansion strategy.
“The space itself is fantastic; it’s in a great location, with heaps of character and it’s a bit different, which is very much in line with the way that we like to approach things.”
He added: “Headspace has created a really vibrant community and it’s much more than just a workspace.”
The head of marketing and client experience at Headspace, Jonathan Hausmann, commented: “AND Digital are a really exciting, rapidly growing business that are clearly going places and we’re very happy to be part of that journey!”
