NWD Accountancy celebrates growth with new Darlington office

NWD Accountancy is celebrating a successful year with a move to new premises in Darlington.

Founded by Nicola Waters-Davies in 2015, NWD Accountancy previously operated from Nicola’s home until an increase in clients led to a need for additional staff and a larger office space in a professional environment.

Now located within Business Central on Central Park, the company provides services such as completion of year-end accounts, personal tax, corporation tax, management accounts, CIS returns, payroll and VAT services.

Nicola explained: “I’m delighted with the progress we have made since first opening the business. Our client base has grown and we’re now working with an array of businesses including actors, football clubs, sole traders, construction, and manufacturing companies.

“Our approach is very much hands-on ensuring we advise clients throughout the year, keeping in touch [regularly] and not just when it’s time to submit their end-of-year accounts.

“We’re available 24/7, offering a more personal approach. We don’t want people to fear the accounts process so providing continuous advice strengthens the relationship to ensure everything runs smoothly.”

In November 2017, NWD moved to Business Central, an office complex designed for growth, and established SMEs.

Nicola added: “With the increase in clients and staff, we just couldn’t continue to work from home - especially as we plan to recruit again towards the end of the year.

“Business Central was recommended by another business. We looked at various premises but for us, the location of Business Central was just perfect.

“Being so close to the train station is ideal as we have clients all over the UK.”

Business Central’s centre manager, Vanessa Wood, concluded: “It’s great to welcome Nicola and her team whom I’m sure will fit in perfectly with our business community at Business Central.

“With the centre almost fully occupied, it’s apparent that business owners are making the most of our facilities to achieve that work-life balance for themselves and their employees.”
