This week's Yorkshire appointments

3volution, the Leeds-based boutique law firm, has recruited five new members of staff.

The company, which now employs 23 people, has appointed partner Michael Cantwell, solicitors Chris Thornton and Catherine Pugh and trainee solicitors Melissa Poulter, Saman Ul-Haq and Philippa Webster.

Founding partner Jonathan Priestley said: “It’s an exciting time here at 3volution. When Louise Handley, Tim Stone and I set up the business in 2011 we intended to keep our focus firmly on providing the very best specialist legal services possible by playing to our particular strengths and letting the business develop organically. We didn’t want to be distracted by growth for growth’s sake.

“Having worked hard to maintain this ethos we have gradually built up the business by working with a fantastic selection of clients and attracting some of the best legal talent in the region.

“I’m delighted to say that all of our specialist teams – corporate, commercial litigation, employment, commercial, intellectual property and information technology – are flourishing.”

In addition, Joel Brooks has joined as a business development executive, based in its Manchester office.

James Mortimore, founder and director of TFG Capital, said: “Over the last three and a half years, we’ve worked hard to establish ourselves as a fast, reliable alternative to traditional funding avenues.

“As specialists in providing property and asset backed cash flow and bridging finance, we’ve proved able fill a much-needed gap in the market and, consequently, we’re continuing to grow.

“Damian and Joel are great additions to the TFG team and their knowledge and contacts will help us drive our product offering throughout the UK and Northern Ireland. Providing funding to viable businesses which simply require a more flexible approach to give them the tailored financial solutions they require is the key to our success.”
