Europa Nottingham Speeding Towards Growth with Record-Breaking Month
The Nottingham team of leading logistics provider, Europa Worldwide Group, has recently celebrated its most successful month in its four-year history, just 6 months after moving into its new, larger offices at Colwick Quays Business Park.
The team of seven, which was established when Europa was acquired in 2013, saw gross profit increase by a third and booked 22 per cent more export shipments in January compared to the same period in 2017. As well as these record-breaking figures, all of Europa’s Nottingham Road Account Managers smashed their targets in January and the team is now looking to appoint new Operators to support its growing customer base.
This expansion comes after the business invested in a brand-new East Midlands office in October 2017 to fulfil the needs to the growing team.
Sally Watson, Branch Manager at Europa Nottingham, said: “We’re delighted with our January results; this increase in bookings and boost in profits comes off the back of a lot of hard work from our team.
“Our new office fits with our ambitions and has definitely helped to facilitate the growth of both our customer base and our own team. Our Account Managers have done a brilliant job of bringing new business in from across the East Midlands so far this year – securing 21 new accounts, which went on to book 65 shipments in January. We’re looking forward to consolidating this hard work, building upon our presence in the region and growing our team over the coming months!”
In August 2017, Europa launched its pioneering new MBX (Money Back Express) service, offering new and existing customers the opportunity to benefit from a full refund of freight charges if Europa fails to deliver to the customer’s defined and agreed transit time. In January, seven per cent of all total bookings made by Europa’s Nottingham team included this service - a testament to its success across the UK.
Dionne Redpath, Sales Director at Europa, said: “Our relocation in Nottingham was an investment in our stance in the area, to strengthen Europa’s influence and position ourselves as one of the leading logistics providers for businesses across the East Midlands. These figures clearly show that the team have made some brilliant achievements so far, which certainly sets us in great stead for the rest of the year.
“Two of our Operators at the branch have applied for our internal Road Account Management scheme and will start training for their new roles soon – opening up new positions, so we are now welcoming any enquiries about applications.”
Europa Worldwide Group employs 650 people across 12 sites in the UK plus Hong Kong and is represented in 100 countries.
