Harrogate web design agency creates new jobs with move to Leeds city centre

Mixd, the web design agency, is expanding its team and moving to new offices in Leeds.

As part of the relocation, the company will create five new jobs spanning design and development.

Founded in Harrogate 14 years ago, Mixd now boasts a team of 12. The move to Leeds will support its recruitment activity and further expansion.

Phil Shackleton, digital director at Mixd, said: “Leeds is the digital hub of the North and we aim to attract the best talent the region has to offer.

“We do a lot of work in the NHS and public sector, and it will be great to be close to NHS Digital in the city.”

Mixd is an user experience digital agency specialising in information design for the NHS and other public sectors, and has completed projects with numerous NHS Trusts and Clinical Commissioning Groups.

Recent projects have included web design and build for the University of Birmingham, North Yorkshire Police, Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust, and South Kesteven District Council.

The agency is moving to the creative hub at the Leeming Building in Leeds.

Shackleton added: “As we continue to grow, we are servicing an increasingly national client base, and the transport links Leeds has to offer are vital. We have a built a strong reputation for rigorous research and stand out UX design.

“We are investing in our team to ensure we continue to lead the industry with a focus on Progressive Web Apps (PWAs), an emerging web technology, pioneered by Google.

“PWAs blur the line between websites and mobile apps to enhance the user experience and increase engagement.”
