Energy consultants launch new HQ and innovation centre in Nelson
Energy-focused cost reduction firm Businesswise Solutions is more than tripling its workspace in Lancashire.
The company invested six figures to transform a 10,000 sq ft building on Lomeshaye Industrial Estate in Nelson into its new headquarters.
Part of the premises will serve as an innovation centre, taking customers on an energy journey that demonstrates the latest technology driving the industry, including battery power, demand side response and blockchain.
Businesswise said the expansion is part of a drive to double its workforce in 2018 and grow turnover to £5m by 2020.
Frazer Durris, the company’s managing director, said: “We have long been considering a move to bigger premises; an open plan, contemporary space which would bring the whole team together and facilitate our ambitious growth plans.
“We’ve been working closely with architects and tradespeople to transform it into a modern, welcoming and inspiring space for people to work and visit.”
He added: “And it’s more than just an office; it’s a hub of education and advice for businesses looking to improve the way they buy and manage their energy.”
