Yorkshire Housebuilding Team Support County Charity

A housebuilding team, who construct homes across the county has also been working hard to raise money for a local charity.

The team at Miller Homes Yorkshire, who are based in Wakefield, chose the nearby Wakefield Hospice as its annual charity and has raised in excess of £8,200.

“The team have all done their bit in raising money with bake sales, golf days and personal challenges all adding to the total,” said Debbie Peers Office Manager and organiser of charity fundraising. “Thanks to them all and to all our friends, family and colleagues that have supported us in being able to make this donation to a very worthwhile charity.”

Wakefield Hospice is a registered charity that provides care and support to people living with an end of life diagnosis. Established in 1990, the vision of eight local nurses, the hospice now requires in excess of £4.2m to keep it running each year.

Keeley Harrison Fundraising Manager, Wakefield Hospice said; “We rely heavily on donations to provide care and support to the people of Wakefield and our warmest wishes go to the Miller Homes team for their support this year. It really does make a difference to have the support of Miller Homes and we hope to continue to work with them in the future.”

As well as the housebuilder’s head office being based in the town, it also has its City Fields development in the Aberford Road area, close to the hospice.

A selection of three and four bedroom homes is currently available, one eye-catching home is the four bedroom Dorset, a uniquely designed home currently priced from £250,000. Other homes available are priced from £240,000.
