London fintech company launches new money transfer service between Italy and the UK

Opal Transfer, the London-based fintech company, has announced the launch of a new money transfer service between Italy and the UK.

This is an extension of the existing product – money transfer service from the UK to Italy.

Transfers from Italy to the UK cost €1 and the money will be delivered on the same day, making it one of the cheapest transfer services on the market.

This new Italy/UK service utilises Opal Transfer’s technology which enables customers to transfer funds between two countries in both directions. This is the first time a two way transfer service has been set up between two Western European countries.

Opal Transfer’s combination of a user-friendly app with a human face business model is “unique” on the market.

The new Italy to UK money transfer service has an Italian customer service team available for people to speak to service alongside an Italian version of their website and advanced app soon to be launched.

The new money transfer service is part of wider plans for Opal Transfer to expand in new markets within the next 12 months.
