Stratstone Jaguar Land Rover moves up a gear as Caddick Construction completes workshop

Caddick Construction has completed a £3.3m contract to deliver a new Stratstone Jaguar Land Rover workshop, located on Durham Road in Houghton-le-Spring.

The contract for one of the UK’s leading automotive retailers, Pendragon PLC, was completed on time and to budget by the Yorkshire based contractor, and constitutes another addition to their growing portfolio of car workshops.

Work began on site in early April last year and saw the demolition of the previous existing workshop. The work undertaken included ground treatment and the installation of precast concrete floors as well as roofing and cladding. The site also features both concrete and steel stairs, raised floors, siphonic drainage, lightning protection and a lift.

The new facility will continue to service both Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles and will offer more space, roof-top parking, room for over 20 ramps and a cosmetic and alloy wheel repair facility.
