The Good Till Company appoints technology entrepreneur Alastair Mills

The Good Till Company, a UK fintech pioneer of intuitive and affordable Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) Point Of Sale (POS) systems, has named entrepreneur, Alastair Mills, as non-executive chairman as it aims to become the market leader in cloud and tablet-powered POS services for the retail and hospitality sector. Also announced is the company’s third round of growth funding, bringing total investment to over £1.5m.

Mills brings an impressive track record of leading growth companies in the technology sector having previously founded award-winning technology infrastructure company, Six Degrees Group, which grew from startup to 500 employees and £100m of revenue in just five years. Prior to Six Degrees, Mills was CEO of AIM-listed SpiriTel Plc, a mid-sized telco business that he sold in 2010.

The Good Till Company was formed with a mission to disrupt the legacy POS technology market with a solution that combines powerful, SaaS-based sales, analytics and management capabilities with familiar iPad hardware. Working alongside integration partners such as Xero, Quickbooks and Woo-commerce, its solutions offer greater functionality and value than traditional approaches. The company has already built a customer base of over 1,200 outlets, including Regus, Philip Morris, Northampton Saints Rugby Club, Cafe2U and Royal British Legion.

The Good Till Company’s iPad-based POS solution provides retailers with an intuitive, portable and flexible way of transacting with customers at an affordable monthly cost. The iPad provides detailed information about all aspects of the business, from supply chain to inventory, sales, and analytics. This information helps such businesses improve their customer service as well as increasing efficiency and flexibility within the workplace.
