Quantity surveyors to establish 3,500 sq ft base at Liverpool Waters
Quantity surveying and project management firm Walker Sime is moving to Liverpool Waters.
The Manchester-headquartered company signed a five-year lease on 3,500 sq ft at No.8 Princes Dock.
Walker Sime has a longstanding relationship with Peel Land and Property, which manages the Liverpool Waters development.
The firm is providing consultancy and project management on the £5bn scheme, ensuring the redevelopment of more than 160 acres of the city waterfront is delivered on time and on budget.
Derek Walker, director at Walker Sime, said: “The Liverpool Waters project is an incredibly exciting one and working with Peel as closely as we have been is a fantastic experience. It therefore makes sense that we would want to make our mark on the area and take on this lease.
“We’re proud to say that we’ve had a role in the many changes happening on Liverpool’s Waterfront, and we’re looking forward to seeing how the next stages of the project will look.”
Walker Sime will move from its current Liverpool based at Cotton Exchange on Bixteth Street later this month.
Liverpool Waters asset manager Liza Marco commented: “We’re delighted that Walker Sime has made the decision to relocate their Liverpool office to Princes Dock, enabling them to work from the scheme they are project managing on daily basis.
“With neighbours including KPMG and property consultants Savills, they will be in good company among some of the most established and successful firms not only in the North West, but the UK.”
Liza continued: “The wide range of suite sizes and high quality office provision set in a unique waterfront environment, has resulted in Princes Dock becoming one of the premier space for expanding businesses to call home in Liverpool.”
