IoD North Wales invites business leaders to discuss Mastermind Group

Business leaders from North Wales are invited to attend an Institute of Directors (IoD) North Wales breakfast to discover the benefits of peer-to-peer learning.

The event will help the IoD shape a possible Mastermind programme in North Wales, which invites members to share business ideas, issues, and challenges in a constructive environment.

The programme, first launched by the IoD’s branches in England, has received glowing praise from members and is now earmarked to be rolled out in Wales.

David Roberts, who runs The Alternative Board, will host the session to explain how peer-to-peer advisory sessions work.

Mastermind is available to IoD members only as part of their standard membership benefits. Groups are kept to a maximum of 12-15 members to build a strong and trusting environment.

IoD North Wales chair Helen Watson said: “We’re excited for the chance to network at this breakfast and hear about peer-to-peer learning.

“It will be an exciting IoD member led benefit that has achieved significant success operating in other IoD regions as part of their membership.”

David added: “Peer-to-peer sessions, run in a structured way, has huge benefits for business leaders. The sessions are held in an informal but challenging setting, allowing delegates to confront the day-to-day issues they face in business.

“It’s a fantastic concept and one that could greatly benefit business leaders in the region.”

The breakfast takes place at Northop Hall Country House Hotel on Thursday 19 April from 8am to 10am. Tickets cost £15 plus VAT for members, and £20 plus VAT for non-members.
