Manchester startup among Europe’s fastest growing companies
A startup based in Manchester has ranked in the top 100 of the Financial Times’ new list of Europe’s 1,000 fastest growing businesses.
In Touch Networks, led by CEO Matt Roberts, came 86th in the overall ranking and 23rd in the UK.
The FT 1,000 is compiled using data from companies in 31 European countries that have seen the highest compound annual growth rate in revenues between 2013 and 2016.
In Touch Networks, which employs over 130 people at its offices in Manchester, demonstrated a growth rate of 1296% for the period.
The company offers online networks that connect elite professionals with employers.
Last year, the company became a Northern Powerhouse partner with a view to driving innovation, investment, skills and job creation across the North.
Chief exec Matthew Roberts, said: “Having only just won Fastest Growing Company of the Year by the Northern Tech Awards, this recognition compounds our presence and expansion within the technology sector in the North, the UK and internationally in Europe.
“It is always rewarding to receive such recognition and to be a component of a healthy, recovering economy both at home and further afield.”
He continued: “This is an affirmation of our ethos and core values that can be found at the heart of In Touch Networks. We’re immensely proud to be both based in Manchester and a member of the international economy.
“What makes this win all the more exciting is that our company is still very young. The future can only hold further growth, supplying not only more employment opportunities, but also innovation to the technology sector and the business world alike.”
